Bentonite is a very old clay that has been used as a remedy for many things. The fine powder forms when volcanic ash ages. It’s also known as Montmorillonite clay after a region in France with a large deposit. And you may hear it called calcium bentonite clay.
The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay was invented by Patrick K Roman in 1982, to help his mother recover from a skin ailment. Since then, the clay has made waves in the beauty industry due to its ability to serve as a staple to both skincare and haircare. Easily identified by its electric green color carried by the bentonite clay, the product quickly made its way to the top.
The Aztec Healing Clay and Apple Cider Vinegar mask took the beauty industry by storm. The combination of the bentonite clay and apple cider vinegar became the staple in the beauty industry for quick make up removal and restoring the pH of the skin. It replenishes the skin with much needed minerals, while detoxifying and rejuvenating. After every use, pores are substantially smaller, skin is smoother, brighter, and tighter!
It is simple to make, 100% natural, and really works wonders for skin.
Directions for use:
- Mix 1 part clay to 2 parts apple cider vinegar, mix until smooth. Note that you should be careful to mix the contents in a non-metal bowl, using non-metal utensils; the reason for this being that metal reduces the ability of the clay to detoxify as the metal will begin to attract the particles within the clay that have the specific ability to bind to and extract impurities from the skin. In a nutshell, the metal reduces the effectiveness of the clay.
- Apply to the face and neck, avoiding the sensitive eye area. For sensitive skin, let dry for 5-10 minutes. For normal/oily skin, let dry for 15-20 minutes. As the mask dries it will tighten, causing the skin to feel warm and tingly.
- Rinse off with warm water.
